Recently Kali and I have been sticking to Facebook to update friends and family. I thought we could start keeping up our blog again for those who don't use Facebook. We are in Utah and our family has grown to four children since the last past we made. Gracie is starting first grade this year and Daemyn will hopefully be in preschool. Livie is our little steamroller of a 2 year old and we love every second of it. Caedyn is just a big chunky boy and is learning to crawl and loves to make lots and lots and lots of noise. Kali is as wonderful as always taking care of the kids and our house. Keep in touch to get photos and updates from our little slice of heaven.

Olivia Kaye Hainer was born at 12:50am March 3, 2009. Here are some pics.

She was 8lbs 1oz and 21inches long. We are so glad that she has finally joined our family.

She and mommy are doing great and are at home now. Thanks to Gigi and Papa groenig for helping out with the kids while mommy and daddy were at the hospital.

Preschool Days...

Gracie started Preschool yesterday. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!! It really seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now I was dropping her off at school.
She had a great time at her Preschool though. We go to the one at BYU-Idaho-"R" Kids. It's actually BYU-I students who are the teachers who are majoring in Elementary Edu. She goes M W and Fri. for a couple hours, so I am able to spend some good quality time with Deamyn, which is really nice!!!!

It's been WAY too long since we did a new post. So a quick update from the last few months:
1. Gracie had her 3rd birthday-she was very excited we did a Dora theme party and did a little adventure with the kids. I was brave(or rather stupid) and did a Dora cake with the help of our dear and close friend Robbie. It took us all morning to get it done. It looked good and Gracie seemed to have a good time with her friends.

2. Of course Fourth of July. We spent a wonderful day with our friends Dan and Robbie going to the Rexburg Parade in the morning walked around the little booths, went to the ward party, then at night we went up to the baseball fields had dinner and watched the fireworks! We had a great time and the kids loved the freedom of having a whole field to run around in. THanks guys for such a great day!!

3. We found out we are Pregnant with our third baby- SURPRISE!! We are due March 4 '09

4. In Aug. we were able to go home to WA. and be with family for about 10 days. We had a blast with family, Gracie and Daemyn loved playing with all of their cousins. We bought a new mini van while we were there too. It was much cheaper in WA than here in Rexburg and we only had to pay Id. Sales tax which is 3% less than in Wa. Needless to say we got a great deal and we LOVE IT!!!! So much nicer than our other clunker car.

5. We've just had a great summer playing with friends and family and we feel very blessed to live here with wonderful neighbors!!

So there you have it-we are all alive and well. I am making a committment to myself to keep on top of updating our blog cause I know ya'll are so interested in our lives. :)

WHAT?!?!?!?

So lately our dear, precious Gracie has been saying WHAT?!? to everything we say. And it's not just a normal, politle what? it's a WHAT? with much attitude. One particular day she kept saying it over and over and over and over again (and I know she could hear me) and everytime I answered her my voice kept raising and raising until she looked at me and said " It's Ok mom, calm down, use your nice voice." All I could do was look at her a smile. We love Gracie she brings so much joy and excitement to our lives!!
I just wanted to post this so I could remember some funny things that she is starting to say and do.

Kali's New Haircut

Kali decided to get her hair cut as a birthday present to herself. Gracie cried when we first told her that mommy was getting her haircut. She looks amazing with her new do though.

I Love My Family!!!

I love my family. We took a fun and much needed trip out of the house down to the zoo. It was so fun to see the kids light up at the sight of all the animals. Gracie was dragging us along to everything that she wanted to see as fast as she could go. Daemyn was such a trooper and loved seeing all the animals, though I think his favorite part was snack time and anytime we gave him water. Kali is the best friend anyone could ask for and I like to think she wanted to be with me and the kids. I am glad that we were able to get out of the house and spend time together!!

Zoo Day!

Today was such a beautiful day we couldn't resist being outdoors, so we went to the Zoo. This was Daemyn's first time at the zoo and he was taking EVERYTHING in. Of course Gracie was leading the way telling us where she wanted to go, what animal she wanted to see next. :) We got to see a lion stalk a bird and she tried to pounce but her prey was too fast. It was pretty cool to see a lion act on it's natural instincts.

Sweet Moments

Today I learned from my mom that one of my friends from back home is ill. I started crying and Gracie looked up at me with the most tender brown eyes and said: "It's OK to cry mommy, everything will be Ok, I love you so, so much." Of course that made me cry even harder, not so much as what she said, but how she said it and her manner. Graice put her hands on my face wiped the tears away and was looking at me with so much concern and love in her eyes. She didn't hold back any love towards me.
It just got me thinking, how often do we hold back our love or concern for other people thinking it will offend them?
Just a thought for the soul.
